Asked Questions
Is Temalpakh Farm produce organic?
Temalpakh Farms is a certified organic farming operation. You can rest assured that our crops are grown the way nature intended — with no synthetic chemicals, pesticides, genetic modifications, or additives common in conventional farming. All materials used on our fields are OMRI (Organic Material Review Institute) approved. Supplemental produce sold in our market is always USDA Organic.
Do you grow everything in the Farm Box locally?
All Temalpakh Farm Box items come directly from our fields in Coachella, CA. However, seasonal availability affects most small farms, and we are no exception. In order to provide a substantial box, we currently limit our program availability to our peak growing season, lasting from November to May.
Is wholesale pricing available?
Yes! We offer both retail and restaurant wholesale pricing. Please visit our Wholesalepage for a full product availability list, and contact us at info@temalpakhfarm for pricing.
Temalpakh Farm Market Pet Policy
(1) Purpose.
To promote a safe, sanitary, and respectful environment for all visitors, this Policy governs the presence of animals at the Temalpakh Farm Market. While we recognize the role pets play in people’s lives, the Tribe must also consider food safety, public health, and federal service animal laws.
(2) General Rule: No Pets Allowed.
To protect health and safety, pets are not allowed on the Temalpakh Farm Market premises, including outdoor vendor stalls, indoor facilities, walkways, and fresh produce areas.
(3) Service Animal Exception.
The Augustine Band of Cahuilla Indians permits service animals as required under the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”), with the following conditions:
(A) Definition: A service animal is a dog (or in limited cases, a miniature horse) trained to perform tasks directly related to a person’s disability.
(B) Control: The animal must be leashed, harnessed, or tethered unless this interferes with its work.
(C) Behavior: The animal must always remain well-behaved and under control. Disruptive, aggressive, or unsanitary animals may be removed.
(D) Permissible Questions: Staff may ask:
(1) Is this animal required due to a disability?
(2) What task has the animal been trained to perform?
