100 Percent Organic:
How Does Temalpakh Ensure Best Practices
and Fresh Produce
?

Temalpakh Farm is committed to creating good food that is good for people and good for the earth. That’s why we are proud to create certified organic produce and to only sell certified organic goods at our market.

Unfortunately, we’re seeing a lot of products being marketed as “organic” or “natural” or “sustainable” that are not grown or created with the practices to qualify them as such. It can be hard for consumers to know what to trust. But at Temalpakh Farm, we are committed to following sustainable and organic practices in everything we do, and we have the federal labeling to prove it. Here are just some of the practices we follow to ensure the best and freshest produce:

Use of Only Approved Fertilizers and Pesticides

Synthetic fertilizers and pesticides are strictly prohibited for those crops that are certified organic. When a synthetic material must be used, it must be on a list of approved exceptions. Temalpakh Farm never uses any unapproved synthetic products, and we aim to avoid the use of synthetics entirely. We use organic fertilizers and pesticides, and we use natural strategies to promote the health of the crops.

Natural Seeds

No genetically modified seeds or seedlings can be used for the growth of organic crops. As such, Temalpakh Farm uses only natural seeds and seedlings for our crops. You can trust that all the produce that is grown at our farm is 100 percent from the earth.

Soil Protection

Temalpakh Farm doesn’t just employ practices that protect the food we produce, but also practices that protect the soil that grows it. We use practices like crop rotation and cover cropping that protect the health of the soil and prevent erosion, ensuring that we help the earth continue to produce a nutritious bounty for generations to come.
